The first solar panel plant has been installed by a branch of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) in the Kermanshah province, said Bijan Kordistani, the branch’s managing director, Trend reports via IRNA.

He said that 10 billion rials (about $238,000) have been invested in the 10-kW power plant.

He added that this plant was built using solar panels produced in Iran.

“It is possible to expand this plant, if the infrastructure is created and the funds are provided,” he said.

The Kermanshah province of Iran, with a population of two million people, has more than 1,000 industrial and manufacturing facilities with more than 30,000 employees.
