Iran's East Oil & Gas Production Company increases gas output

The volume of gas production at Iran's East Oil and Gas Production Company, located in the country's Razavi Khorasan province, has increased by one million cubic meters, the company's Technical Director Reza Soltani said, Trend reports via the company's information portal.

The increase was achieved thanks to work done at the Khangiran gas field, Soltani said.

According to the technical director, the work done at the field includes installation of dissociation equipment on two wells, control over repairs, improvement of three wells, preparation of two new wells for drilling platform installation.

The East Oil and Gas Production Company owned by Iranian Central Oil Fields Company produces 62 million cubic meters of gas daily.

The Khangiran gas field has reserves of 480 billion cubic meters and its daily output is 17 million cubic meters.

The company's Tus gas field is reported to be commissioned within two years. The Tus gas field is estimated to have 62 billion cubic meters of gas and about 70-75 percent of it is recoverable. Thus, 3.6 - 3.9 million cubic meters of gas can be extracted at this field for some 20-25 years.
