Trend:

Iran's industrial production and export has grown during the past ten months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020), said Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Alireza Razm Hosseini, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Iran had production and export in 29 industrial fields, while investment permits have increased during the past ten months of the current Iranian year," said Hosseini.

"About 75 percent of Iran's steel and petrochemical products are exported to 15 neighboring countries that indicate efforts for economic growth," he said.

"The country faced three years of economic war and then COVID-19, although there was pressure on the market and people, but this pressure did not paralyze us and Iran has passed sanctions with minimum damages," he said.

Elsewhere, Hosseini said that a water transmission pipeline from the Persian Gulf to Ardakan is of special advantage for Yazd province, and the pipeline will be inaugurated by the end of current Iranian year, so after that two direct pipelines would transfer water from the Persian Gulf to Yazd," he said.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, one of the largest producers of iron ore in Iran, is the main investor in the Persian Gulf water transfer project to Yazd Province.

"Yazd Province produces 15 percent of country's steel production while its textile industry shares 27 percent of country's production. There are 86 active tile and ceramic factories in Yazd that manufactures 60 percent of country's production," he said.
