Consultants involved within new WB project in Azerbaijan
Social Fund for Development of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan announced a tender for consultancy services in the framework of the World Bank (WB) project to improve living conditions and incomes of displaced persons in Azerbaijan, the Fund said on Tuesday.
Consulting services are involved to evaluate repairs of the eight public-housing buildings.
Tender bids must be submitted to the fund till August 6, 2012.
The third WB project on improving the living conditions and income of IDPs in Azerbaijan approved in 2011 is funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD is part of the WB). The share of government involvement in the project is $28.5 million. Thus, the overall funding of the project is $78.5 million. Azerbaijan and the World Bank (WB) signed a credit agreement in Baku on Nov.16, 2011.
Under the project, there will be over 200 micro-projects carried out that will cover 120,000-150,000 people. It will also contribute to improving the living conditions of about 30,000 people. About 1400 young people will be able to get training and grants to start their own business. In addition, about 1500 micro credits will be given to the displaced to open or expand a business.
In total, about 185,000 IDPs in Azerbaijan will have greater access to infrastructure services, to improve their living conditions and earning potential under the new WB project.
Tender for first aid point construction announced in Azerbaijan
A group for the implementation of the World Bank (WB) project to reform the health care system in Azerbaijan, established under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health has announced a tender to construct first aid points in the regions, a statement said today.
The tender is to be held on two lots, the first of which involves the construction of first aid point in the village of Bideyiz, in the Sheki region, the second - in the village of Gypchag, in the Gakh region.
The cost of participation in the tender is 350 manat.
The bids will be accepted until 14:00 August 22, 2012.
The project to reform the health care system in Azerbaijan consists of four main components:
- Strengthening of the management potential of the health ministry, sectorial policy, planning policy and regulation;
- Improving the quality and efficiency of health services in five pilot regions which includes the modification of the initial level of services at a regional level and the construction of three regional hospitals, strengthening the ties between primary and secondary levels of health care presented in these regions;
- Reform of health financing, a gradual transition to the principles of compulsory health insurance;
- Increasing human capacity, including a certification programme for medical personnel.
The project was approved by the board of directors of the World Bank on June 29, 2006, and its implementation began in December 2006.The total cost of the project is $ 78.25 million, of which $50 million is allocated by WB, while the share of the Government of Azerbaijan in the project is $28.25 million.
RWE Dea AG announces tender in Turkmenistan

Tender announced to create cadastral database of real property in Azerbaijan
The Centre for Real Estate Cadastre and Technical Inventory of the State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan announced a tender for a number of works on creation of an electronic cadastral database of real property, owned by the state in the areas of Tovuz, Agstafa, Gazakh and Dashkesan , the centre said on Tuesday.
The tender involves the purchase of works for the organisation and management of externally geodetic measurement of works, the database and cadastral plans.

Azerbaijani Health Ministry announces tender to create information system within WB project
The group carrying out the reform of the health care system in Azerbaijan backed by the World Bank (WB), established under the Ministry of Health, announced a tender for the creation of an online information system.
This is according to an official statement issued in the press on Wednesday.
The tender also includes the upgrading of the existing database and the development of technical reports.
Tender bids accepted till August 8, 2012.

Azerbaijan announces tender within alternative energy development
Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry has announced a tender for consultancy services to maintain activity of the State Company for Alternative and Renewable Energy, purchase of equipment and increasing potential within the project of enhancing use of alternative and renewable energy and development of energy efficiency.
The tender has been announced on the seventh lot of the project, the Xalq qazeti newspaper reported on Friday.
