Lawyer David Pataraya was appointed parliamentary secretary of the Georgian president.

David Pataraya graduated from the international law and international relations faculty at the Tbilisi State University. At various periods, he worked at the Georgian Central Election Commission and is a leading expert in the parliament.

He was engaged in advocacy in 'Pataraya and partners' firm in 1996-1999. He was a member of the National Communication Commission in 2000-2007. He delivers lectures at the Tbilisi State University. He is a member of several international organizations.

Pataraya added that he has been a member of Nino Burjanadze's party for a few months.
