Georgian Energy Ministry announces tender as part of HPP construction

The Georgian Energy Ministry announced a tender to conduct a feasibility study as part of the construction project of the Avani hydroelectric power plant (HPP).

HPP will be constructed on the Avaniskhevi River in Kakheti (Eastern Georgia), the Ministry of Energy told Trend today.

The minimum capacity will hit 4.6 MW. The investment cost of HPP, which will annually generate 18.63 million kW h of electricity, is $ 7.8 million.

The interested people can submit bids to the Georgian Ministry of Energy until 18:00 on Feb. 17, 2014.
