Georgian President Georgi Margvelashvili met with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt in Tbilisi. The meeting was held in a business lunch format.
The sides discussed bilateral and multilateral relations, the Georgian presidential administration reported.
Bildt congratulated the president on the signing of an association agreement with the EU.
The conversation also touched upon the situation in the region and developing events in Ukraine. The attention was paid to the role of Georgia as an associate member of the EU and prospects for regional cooperation.
The Georgian president thanked the guest for support of the territorial integrity of Georgia and the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of the country.
After Georgia, Bildt will visit Ukraine and Moldova.
