Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has accused the Free Democrats Party of the country's former Defense Minister Irakli Alasania of carrying out sabotage.

"The demonstrative resignation of the government members poses a threat to the existence of the state and is similar to sabotage," Garibashvili said at an extraordinary briefing.

He said the members of Our Georgia - Free Democrats Party threaten Georgia's statehood and the country's European choice by making anti-state statements.

Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Following Alasania's resignation, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze resigned as well.
