BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Georgia has prepared a long-term installment plan for construction companies, which will be presented next week, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said, Trend reports via Georgian media.

In addition, the government is going to work intensively on the employment program, starting from April of the current year, which will lead to substantial job creation, Garibahsvili said.

According to the PM, amid the crisis in the region, Georgian government is looking to boost the country's economic growth.

Garibashvili first announced the launch a new support program for the construction sector earlier in February 2022.

The government eyes to invest from 500 million Georgian lari up to 1 billion Georgian lari ($172-345 million) in this program, the PM had said.

“The construction companies can attract additional financial resources from the banks with the government’s guarantee. The amount in installments is to be paid within 3-5 years,” he said back in February.

According to the PM, this initiative will result in additional economic growth of 1-2 percent.
