Egyptian ex-minister sentenced to 12 years in jail

Former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly was sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of corruption and profiteering by a criminal court on Thursday.

It marks the first guilty verdict of a former top official since former president Hosny Mubarak was ousted from power February 11.
