The man who was shot to death by his eight year old son was laid to rest Monday in a church service in the Arizona town of St. Johns, the Arizona Republic reported in its online edition, dpa reported.
The boy is scheduled to appear in court later Monday. He is charged with using a .22 caliber hunting rifle to kill his father Vincent Romero, 29, and a co-worker Timothy Romans, 39, who rented a room in the house.
Police have said that the shootings were premeditated, but said there was no indication that the boy had been abused.
Under Arizona law children aged 8 and above can be tried as adults. But the boy's defense attorney argued that police should not have questioned the boy without an attorney or a parent present, and said that police never advised the boy of his rights.
