Cyprus will receive a rescue package of about 10 billion euros (13 billion dollars) after striking a deal with international creditors early Saturday, diplomats said, dpa reported.
The bailout deal reached at an overnight meeting of eurozone finance ministers foresees a contribution by depositors in Cypriot banks with accounts holding more than 100,000 euros, they said.
Cyprus' international creditors had also demanded assurances that the island will stick by the promises it makes in return for the aid.
