In October 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Turkmenistan through Turkish ports amounted to 191,402 tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The ministry noted that in October 2019, the entire volume of cargo transshipped from Turkmenistan through Turkey’s ports was carried out by ships flying flags of other countries.
Some 751 tons of cargo from Turkmenistan were shipped to other countries in transit through Turkish ports.
In October 2019, Turkish ports received 5,126 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 69.8 million tons.
In the reporting period, 1,852 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 3,274 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
In October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 10.5 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 59.2 million tons.
From January through October 2019, Turkish ports received 46,607 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 660.7 million tons.
In the reporting period, 17,853 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 28,754 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
From January through October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 99.1 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 561.5 million tons.
