Turkey shares latest data on cargo, passenger traffic at Antalya Airport

The cargo turnover of Turkish Antalya Airport amounted to 92,297 tons from January through July 2021, having soared by 165 percent compared to the same period of 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

During the reporting period, cargo turnover on domestic flights amounted to 22,810 tons (an increase of 59 percent year on year), on international - 69,487 tons (an increase of 240 percent), the ministry said.

The passenger traffic at the airport in the first 7 months of this year amounted to almost 8.12 million people, which is 164 percent more than a year earlier. At the same time, the passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 2.26 million people (an increase of 36 percent), and on international flights – 5.85 million people (a surge of 316 percent).

According to the ministry, the number of flights performed in the reporting period was 57,749, which is 109 percent more than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic routes was 20,993 (an increase of 32 percent), on international lines - 36,756 (an increase of 212 percent).

The passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 57.3 million people, and the cargo turnover – 1.7 million tons.
