Turkey announces commissioning date for logistics center in Sivas (Exclusive)

A logistics center in the eastern Turkish province of Sivas will be commissioned in mid-2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

According to the ministry, the construction of a logistics center in Sivas province began in 2016.

"The cost of the project is 276 million Turkish liras ($30.9 million). In 2020, 16.5 million liras ($1.85 million) were spent on the project, and 80 million liras ($8.97 million) will be spent by the end of 2021," the ministry said.

Earlier, it was reported that nine logistics centers with a total value of 2.35 billion liras ($263.6 million) will be created in 13 provinces of Turkey by late 2024.

Work is underway in Turkey to implement 469 transport and infrastructure projects with a total value of 694.7 billion liras ($77.9 billion), 179 billion ($20 billion) of which came from foreign loans.

Among these projects, there are those, the implementation of which began in previous years.

In 2021, 42.4 billion liras ($4.75 billion) will be allocated for the implementation of transport and infrastructure projects in Turkey, of which almost 6 billion ($673 million) will come from foreign loans.

In 2020, 282.7 billion liras ($31.7 billion) were allocated for the implementation of transport and infrastructure projects in Turkey, of which 56.8 billion ($6.37 billion) came from foreign loans.
