BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Turkish ports received 4,473 ships in April 2022, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Out of the total number of ships, 1,359 were flying Turkey's flag, while 3,114 ships were under the flags of other countries.
Some 16,424 ships were accepted by local ports from January through April 2022.
"During this period, a total of 4,892 ships were under the flag of Turkey, whereas 11,532 were flying the flags of other countries," the ministry said.
The ports of Turkey received 51,199 vessels in 2021, out of which 15,120 were flying the Turkish flag. The remaining 36,079 ships received by Turkish ports were under the flags of other countries.
