The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to open about 300 filling stations in Romania in three years, SOCAR President Rovnag Abudllayev said on Saturday.
The company is now engaged in the re-branding of a number of filling stations already acquired in Romania. Increasing the number of the filling stations in Romania meets the company's strategy in this country.
Abdullayev said 17 petrol stations are to be opened in Ukraine soon.
Today, SOCAR owns 70 filling stations in Georgia (the figure will be increased to 100 units by late 2001, as well as a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
