An oil terminal, which will make it possible to increase the export of oil products, has been commissioned close to Imamnazar customs point located in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Region on the border with Afghanistan, a source in the Turkmen government said.
The new facility with capacity of 540,000 tons of oil products per year was constructed by specialists of the Turkmen state oil and gas construction concern.
The terminal consists of four sections: administrative and auxiliary buildings, a section for reception of oil products, a section for storage of oil products and a section for pumping oil products into tank trucks in the border area.
Earlier a branch of the new railway from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan was stretched into the terminal.
