The Turkey-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group issued a statement on the Khojaly tragedy yesterday, sharply condemning the events of Feb. 26, 1992, the Anadolu agency reported.

The Turkey-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group issued a statement on the Khojaly tragedy yesterday, sharply condemning the events of Feb. 26, 1992, the Anadolu agency reported.

'Turkey will always provide the necessary support to Azerbaijan in bringing about the truth on this tragedy to the world community and help bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice', the statement reads.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Necdet Unuvar stressed that all crimes against Azerbaijanis committed in Khojaly and other Azerbaijan territories occupied by Armenians will not remain unpunished.

MP Sinan Ogan said that Turkey will do its utmost to ensure the world learned about the Khojaly genocide.

The Armenian military forces committed genocide in Khojaly on Feb.26, 1992. Some 613 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men.
