By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:

The roaming tariffs are planned to be gradually reduced followed by zeroing as part of the Common Economic Space, chairman of the Kazakh Competition Protection Agency Galim Orazbakov said on April 30.

"A striking example of the effective cooperation among the antitrust bodies and the Eurasian Economic Commission is to jointly examine the issue of the gradual reduction and further zero roaming in the member-states of the association upon the analogy with the EU," Orazbakov added.

"This measure will contribute to ensuring the freedom of the labor force and business movement in the Common Economic Space, and the development of telecommunications networks," he added.

Heads of three countries, namely, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will sign an agreement on the Common Economic Space in Astana in late May 2014.
