Nineteen people were arrested during the event dedicated to the 21-st anniversary of the death of the founder and leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini, Tehran police chief Hossein Sajedinia said, ISNA news agency reported.
All security measures were conducted in the territory, where the event was held yesterday, and no events occurred, Sajedinia said. "Seventeen of arrested individuals were arrested for theft and two of them for introducing themselves as police," he said.
