Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad early morning arrived in Sudan's capital, Khartoum at the head of high-ranking delegation, IRNA reported.
President Ahmadinejad was welcomed at Khartoum International Airport by Sudanese President Hassan Omar al-Bashir and Iranian ambassador to Sudan, Javad Torkabadi.
President Ahmadinejad will hold bilateral talks with his Sudanese counterpart, Omar al-Bashir. The two sides will issue a joint statement at the end of their meeting.
Ahmadinejad will return to Tehran on Monday night.
President Ahmadinejad has visited Mauritania before arriving in Sudan.
