A suicide attacker targeted a vehicle carrying German troops in northern Afghanistan and killed two civilians, official said Sunday.
"A suicide bomber detonated explosives targeting vehicle that carried German soldiers this morning in Kabul-Kunduz highway outside Kunduz city," governor's spokesman Mahbubullah Sahidi said.
"Two civilians were killed and four others injured," he said, adding that vehicle carrying German soldiers was also destroyed, DPA reported.
"But we do not have any news on German casualties," he said.
A NATO spokesman also said there was an incident in Kunduz city.
"Our initial reports say a NATO vehicle carrying soldiers was hit by an improvised explosive device," spokesman Major Tim James said.
"There are no reports of casualties on NATO side but we have heard of an Afghan civilian death," he added.
