Great Britain, London /corr. Trend G.Ahmadova / "We appreciate strong bilateral relations between Great Britain and Azerbaijan and the key role that Azerbaijan may play in the region," the Head of British Energy Ministry's Press Service, David Meechan, reported to Trend.
In addition, he said that the Energy Minister of Great Britain, Malcolm Wicks, will meet with the delegation of the Azerbaijani parliamentarians who are on visit to London. "The Minister visited Azerbaijan in September 2007. We are continuing establishing strong relations between the two countries," Meechan said.
During British Minister's visit, discussions were organized on the energy issues, including role of Azerbaijan which supplies oil to the world market via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and transports gas to Turkey via South Caucasus Pipeline.
