The Chiefs of Staff Committee of the CIS will meet on April 10 in Moscow, the press secretary of the Secretariat of the CIS Ministerial Council of Defense Michael Sevastyanov told UNN.
"The work of the Chiefs of Staff Committee of the CIS will be attended by delegations of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine," Sevastyanov said.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of Defence of the Commonwealth.
During the meeting, the participants must identify activities to amend the agreement on the use of satellite communication systems for military use and their further improvement of 12 March 1993. They will also discuss the prospects for cooperation between services for protection of state secrets of the Armed Forces of the CIS.
It is also planned to agree a plan of joint actions of the armed forces of the CIS for 2014 and determine the ways of its implementation .
