Identity Established of Azeri Blast Victim in Istanbul: Consul-General
Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 February / corr. Trend S. Agayeva/ The Consulate-General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul has established the identity of the Azeri man who died as a result of the blast that occurred in Istanbul on 31 January.
"He has been named as Novruz Mammadov. His details will become known in due course," Sayad Salakhanli, the consulate-general of Azerbaijan to Istanbul said in a telephone interview.
The death toll, as result of the blast in a stocking factory where explosives were being produced illegally, has reached 22. The number of those wounded has totalled 117, three of whom are in a serious condition.
The blast was caused by the explosives, the governor of the city said to Turkish journalists.
