Azerbaijani Ambassador to South Africa Elkhan Polukhov has met with South African Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davides. The economic situation in Azerbaijan and its role as a leading state in the region and expansion of business relations between Azerbaijan and South Africa were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the establishment of relations between the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of South Africa, a legal framework for cooperation between the two Ministries, the organization of mutual visits of
delegations of business people of both countries, Azerbaijani Embassy in South Africa told Trend.
The ambassador informs about the economic and financial opportunities of Azerbaijan and noted the interest of our country's investment in the economy of South Africa. The ambassador also said Azerbaijan is implementing major investment projects in Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries.
The Minister was also informed about the political process in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
