Turkish PM’s son ready to testify in corruption scandal

The son of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Bilal Erdogan said he is ready to testify in a corruption scandal in the country, Turkish Anadolu news agency reported on Jan.24.
According to the information, the lawyer of Bilal Erdogan said that until now the prime minister's son has not been called to give testimony.
Turkish police conducted special operations in Istanbul and Ankara on Dec.17, 2013, resulting in the arrest of several dozens of people that include businessmen and sons of some ministers. The detainees are accused of corruption, smuggling and selling drugs.
