The Azerbaijani National Basketball Team will fight for the first place in the "B" division of the European Championship qualifying tournament, National Basketball Team Head Coach Elkhan Aliyev told journalists today.
The Azerbaijani team leads in the "B" division of the European Championship qualifying tournament, beating Albania, Belarus and Romania.
The Azerbaijani national basketball team will meet with the Swedish team in the final game of the first round at the Olympic Center of Border Guards in Baku Aug.21.
Results of this game will determine the winner of the first round, Aliyev said. At the moment, the Swedish team is in the second place.
Aliyev also spoke about preparations for the game against Sweden's team, the training process, the achievements and unsolved problems.
