The Azerbaijani diasporas have become a force able to influence the political life of countries, where they operate, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov told journalists today.
"The Azerbaijani diaspora is strengthened, fully formed, and turned into a force capable even to influence the political life of countries," he said. "The first congress held 10 years ago under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was a significant event in the history of the diaspora."
"Areas identified by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the Second Congress in 2006, give reason to say in 2011 that the Azerbaijani diaspora is headed for the third congress, uses persistent tactics in the information field, and has faced down Armenian myths around the world. The next five years until the next Congress will be a time of ascension for the Azerbaijani diaspora," Ibrahimov added.
