BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Azerbaijani grace Zohra Aghamirova reached two finals of the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship in Baku, Trend reports.
In the qualification of exercises with the ball, Zohra Aghamirova, having received 32.550 points from the judges, took the fifth position, which allowed her to go to the final.
In the qualification of the program with a hoop, Aghamirova took sixth place with a score of 32.150 points, which also allowed her to become one of the finalists in this type.
Another Azerbaijani gymnast, Ilona Zeynalova, did not qualify for the finals. In the qualification of exercises with the ball, she took 35th place (27.300 points), and with a hoop - 59th position (23.900 points).
The 39th European Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics is being held on May 17-21 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The gymnasts perform in the individual program (senior women) and in the group exercise program (juniors and seniors).
Competitions are held under the "Shine like a star" motto. In general, 315 gymnasts (191 seniors, 124 juniors) perform in the continental championship with the participation of rhythmic gymnastics stars from 38 countries.
