It needs to be admitted that the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan is distinguished essentially from the previous ones by its “unhealthy” heat, a joint statement of the Council of Kazis (a clerical position) and the Scientific and Religious Council of the Caucasus Moslems Clerical Board (CMCB) notes, Trend reports.
The statement notes, the atmosphere of mutual hostility, hatred and slander ruling in the society are incompatible with the national mentality of the Azerbaijani people.
It is noted, the political forces involved in the pre-election campaign must be guided, in the first line, by principles of respect to the honor and dignity of the citizens of Azerbaijan.
В"The parliamentary elections are drawing near in Azerbaijan, and the whole world follows carefully the situation in the country. In such a situation it is inadmissible to hold any slanderous campaigns and it is a blow to the country’s national interests”, the CMCB statement underlines.
