BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. The average monthly nominal wages of employees in Azerbaijan's capital Baku from January through February 2022 grew, Trend reports via the Baku Statistics Department.
According to the department, this figure amounted to 979 manat ($575.8), up by 8.8 percent compared to the first two months of last year.
Over the reporting period, the growth of the monthly average nominal wages was recorded in the mining industry, the financial and insurance sectors, the sphere of information and communications, construction, as well as the transport and warehousing sectors.
The average monthly nominal wages of employees in Baku in January this year equaled 974.7 manat ($573.3).
