Uzbekistan aims to build innovative agricultural cluster in Samarkand region

Representatives of Samarkand region’s administration, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade held online negotiations with representatives of Dutch TST-Agro LLC, Trend reports citing Dunyo News Agency.

The participants of the meeting discussed implementation of the project on creation of production, meat and dairy, industrial, greenhouse and agrologistics complex in Pakhtachin district of Samarkand region.

"The budget of the project is 69.7 million euros, the implementation period is two years. It is expected that other Dutch companies, in particular Lely and Hunland, will also be involved in the project. They will supply equipment for processing dairy products, mechanized complexes for cattle care, as well as cattle for the cattle farm," the message said.

TST- Agro will manage the the overall part of the project, as well as provide construction of greenhouses and supply equipment.

During the meeting, the participants noted that the successful implementation of the project will create a unique cluster in Samarkand region, the report said.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify joint work for successful implementation of plans.

TST-Agro participated in the agricultural exhibition Agro Uzbekistan/Agrotech Expo in Tashkent, in November 2018.
