Iran declares number of restored enterprises

The activities of 600 enterprises in Iran have been restored from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to September 14, Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Executive Director of the Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Mohsen Salehinia said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The deputy minister emphasized that it is planned to restore a total of 1,500 industrial enterprises’ activities in Iran in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021).

Salehinia added that a total of 850 industrial parks have been established in Iran and 46,000 industrial enterprises have been put into operation in these industrial parks.

The director noted that 21 percent of these enterprises, ie 10,000, have ceased operations for various reasons.

The deputy minister said that the plan to establish 80 new industrial parks in Iran was also approved.

"Despite many restrictions (sanctions, economic problems and financial situation), the Iranian government is trying to continue the operation and production of industrial enterprises using all available potential," he said.
