Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 19 / Trend , corr. I.Khalilova / On Dec. 19, Azerbaijani Parliament made changes to the Constitution. Under the changes the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) was renamed to Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to Ali Huseynov, the chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Legal Policy and State Building, similar practice is used in many countries.
By changes to the Article 109 of the Constitution, the chairman of the board of CBA will be appointed out of the composition of members of board of CBA.
Bank was established under the order of President on the ground of State Bank, Promstroybank and Agroprombank of former SSSR dating Feb.11 1992.
