Kazakh national transmission grid operator directs over 87% of profit to dividend payments

In 2018 the net profit of Kazakh KEGOC (Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company is a national transmission grid operator of Kazakhstan) amounted to 40.04 billion tenge, which is 21.8 percent more than in 2017 (32.8 billion tenge), Trend reports via the company’s press office.

The total assets of KEGOC exceeded 755.8 billion tenge, which is an increase of annual 20.2 percent.

The company’s own capital amounted to 472.7 billion tenge in 2018, which is an increase of 26.3 percent compared to 2017.

The gross income equaled almost 70 billion tenge in 2018, which is 11.1 percent of an increase.

“Some 87.7 percent of the net profit was directed at the dividend payments to shareholders. In the second six months of 2018 some 14.2 billion tenge were directed at the remuneration, which equals to 54.53 tenge per share. In the first six months of 2018 some 20.9 billion tenge were directed at the remuneration, which equals to 80.53 tenge per share,” the report said.
