US Embassy personnel have been authorized to resume using Turkmenistan Airlines for both domestic and international flights, Trend reports referring to the US Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Recently, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) authorized Turkmenistan Airlines to resume flights to the European Union following a suspension.
On Feb. 7, 2019, the US Embassy sent a security alert advising US citizens that the European Safety Aviation Agency (EASA) suspended Turkmenistan Airlines flights to the EU. As a result of the suspension, US Embassy personnel were banned from flying on Turkmenistan Airlines on official travel and US citizens were advised to take the suspension into consideration when booking flights.
