Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover totaled $28.2 billion from January through October 2019, which is 12.1 percent more compared to the figure in the period from January through October 2018, Trend reports referring to the monthly report of the country’s State Customs Committee.
In the foreign trade turnover, exports amounted to $16.8 billion, which is 13.1 percent more compared to the same period last year. Nevertheless, the share of exports decreased by 3.9 percent to 59.4 percent of the volume of foreign trade turnover.
Imports to Azerbaijan from January through October 2019 amounted to $11.4 billion, having increased significantly by 23.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
The share of imports in the total turnover increased by 3.9 percent up to 40.5 percent of the total turnover.
The balance in foreign trade turnover decreased by 20.1 percent, but remained positive and amounted to $5.3 billion.
