Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Badalova / A memorandum on mutual understanding in the energy sector between Azerbaijan and Germany will be signed by the end of 2008, Pier Stankin, the German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said. He did not name the exact month to sign the memorandum.
Azerbaijan and Germany set up talks on this issue.
" Azerbaijan and Germany launched dialogue, which will result in signing of a memorandum on the energy sector. The signing of a memorandum required much time," he said.
The next meeting of representatives from these countries on this issue will be held in January 2008.
Last year Azerbaijan signed a memorandum on mutual understanding with the European Union is directed strengthening energy security of Europe and contributes in establishment of partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan.
