Baku energy operator increases electricity purchases in first half of year

Bakielektrikshebeke has bought 4.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-June from Azerenergy compared to over 4.1 billion kilowatt-hours during the same period of 2011, the company told Trend on Tuesday.

Bakielektrikshebeke has bought 4.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-June from Azerenergy compared to over 4.1 billion kilowatt-hours during the same period of 2011, the company told Trend on Tuesday.

The company bought 618.6 million kilowatt-hours in June compared to 536.7 million kilowatt hours in June 2011 from Azerenergy.

The company bought approximately 8.21 billion kilowatt hours of electricity from Azerenergy in 2011 compared to about 7.92 billion kilowatt hours in 2010.

The amount of payment by Bakielektrikshebeke for electricity obtained from Azerenergy hit 94.3 percent in January-June compared to 91.3 percent in January-June last year.

Bakielektrikshebeke paid on average about 92.2 percent in 2011 for electricity from Azerenergy compared to 96.2 percent in 2010.
