Bakielektrikshebeke which deals with electricity sale and distribution in Baku purchased 5.8 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity from Azerenerg, which produces and distributes electricity in the Azerbaijani regions, in January-August, Bakielektrikshebeke said on Monday.
According to the report, Bakielektrikshebeke purchased 734.4 million kilowatt / hours of electricity in August compared to 668.5 million kilowatt / hours in July 2011.
The company bought approximately 8.21 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity from Azerenergy in 2011 compared to approximately 7.92 billion kilowatt / hours in 2010.
Bakielektrikshebeke paid 93.73 per cent in January-August for electricity obtained from Azerenergy.
Payment for electricity supplied in 2011 amounted to an average of 92.2 per cent compared to 96.2 per cent in 2010.
