Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR exported 1.58 million tons of oil from the Georgian port of Supsa in January-August 2017, which is similar with the same period of 2016, SOCAR said in a message Sept. 5.
SOCAR did not export oil from Supsa in connection with preventive maintenance work at the oil terminal in the port in August 2017.
SOCAR exported 264,489 tons of oil from the Supsa port in July 2017.
SOCAR exported 2.38 million tons of oil from the Supsa port in 2016, as compared to 2.79 million tons in 2015.
Oil is delivered to Supsa via the Baku-Supsa pipeline operated by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC).
