Baku, Azerbaijan, May 24

More than 90 percent of the revenues of the Azerbaijani state-owned SOCAR company are brought in by business outside the country, the Deputy Chief of Public Relations and Events Department of SOCAR Company Ibrahim Ahmadov said at a press-conference, dedicated to the 25th Anniversary International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference in Baku May 24.
He noted that SOCAR has become a global company.
"The company's activities no longer depend on national resources. For example, of the 108 million tons of oil and petroleum products sold last year, 86 million were produced by third parties. In general, more than 90 percent of the company's income is generated by foreign business," Ahmadov said.
