Iran has saved 300 million euros by laying oil pipelines, Deputy Oil Minister and CEO of National Iranian Oil Company Masoud Karbasian said.

He made the remarks at the signing ceremony of the contract for the installation of electric pumps for the Qoureh Jask pipeline project, Trend reports referring to the website of the National Iranian Oil Company.

He said that the construction of about 20 kilometer long 42-inch pipeline has been launched in Iran.

Karbasian added that 30,000 tons of aluminium slab are monthly produced at the Mobarakeh Steel Company. This material is converted to pipe layouts at Eksin Steel Company and to 42 inch pipes at Ahvaz Pipeline Company, he said.

He noted that pipelines are essential in the oil sector. “Considering this, Iranian companies should continue production to ensure the country with pipelines,” he said.
