About 4.07 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated at the Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant in the Qazvin Province of Iran during the four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, 1.83 billion kilowatt hours of this energy was produced in electric gas units.
“In addition, 2.24 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated in the steam units of the plant,” the report said.
The share of steam units in electricity production was 55 percent, and the share of gas units was 45 percent.
There are 13 units operating at the Shahid Rajaee TPP in Qazvin. This power plant has 4 steam units of 250 megawatts. The plant has the potential to generate 2,042 megawatts of electricity and supplies 4 percent of Iran's electricity network.
