Iran's South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company increases gas extraction

The gas extraction of Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) has increased by 1.7 million cubic meters daily with the launch of two wells, the Head of Technical Department of the SZOGPC, Mahmoud Mirbagheri said, Trend reports citing Iranian Central Oil Fields Company’s website.

According to the Mirbagheri, daily 0.9 million cubic meters of gas has begun to be extracted with the repair and development of well No. 18 in the Dalan gas field.

"In addition, the pipeline of well No. 14 in the Dalan field has been upgraded, thus, the well began to extract 0.8 million cubic meters of gas per day," he added.

The official added that in order to save time and money, the work on the wells was carried out by specialists of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company operates at five sites in Fars, Bushehr, and Hormozgan provinces. The company has 9 gas fields and 2 oil fields.

The company extracts about 60 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million barrels of oil and gas condensate a year.

As reported, the SZOGPC extracted 24.8 billion cubic meters of gas, 7.78 million barrels of gas condensate and 1.14 million barrels of crude oil during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through September 21, 2020).
