BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Tengizchevroil’s (TCO) Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) has launched an Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) at Tengiz oil and gas field in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing the company.

Upon FGP-WPMP completion, the IOCC will help TCO achieve its goal to increase crude oil production by approximately 12 million tons per year, while continuing to maintain a high focus on reducing total environmental impact.

This state-of-the art IOCC facility applies the latest digital technologies and is the only facility of its kind in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry. It will integrate the management of all TCO’s production plants into one control center and operating model.

The IOCC will be located 20 km away from TCO’s production facilities. It also includes a 2200 square meter central control room which is designed to provide Tengiz field operators with the flexibility to make better decisions, improve reliability and optimize production performance.

Since inception, TCO has been investing in new facilities and applying the latest technologies and continues to be a leading contributor to Kazakhstani economy. Since 1993, the company has made direct financial payments of more than $164 billion, including more than $42 billion spent on local goods and services.

FGP-WPMP is currently 91 percent complete. The remaining work is now focused on finalizing construction and systems completion activities in Tengiz.
