Geologic problems hinder GOC to carry out exploitation of two new wells

High mouth pressure on a well Duvanniy -102 and Duvanniy -108, located in Southwest Gobustan contract area, does not allow to conduct their exploitation, Arawak Energy, a member of Gobustan Operating Company (GOC), told Trend.

Work on Kanizadagh -101 well is continuing and w\t will be commissioned and tested in the n nearest two months.

In two months it is also planned to sign contracts on conduct of 2D and 3D seismic survey in the southwest Gobustan.

3D seismic survey will be conducted in the Dashgil, Duvanniy and Kanizadagh fields, which are part of southwest Gobustan, in the area of 200 sq m, while 2D seismic survey is to be carried out in the Central and North blocs in the area of 480 sq m.

GOC is developing Southwest Gobustan under the PSA signed with SOCAR. In Gobustan Operating Company 80% stocks is holding Commonwealth Gobustan Limited, 20% belong to SOCAR. In Commonwealth Gobustan Limited 37.17% stock belongs to Arawak Energy and 62.83% to China National Petroleum Company.
