Total liabilities of Azerbaijan's UniBank down in 1Q2020

The total liabilities of Azerbaijan's UniBank OJSC have reduced by 5.3 percent to 660 million manat ($388.2 million) in the first quarter of 2020, Trend reports citing the bank’s balance sheet.

"In the structure of liabilities the main share (73.8 percent) accounted for deposits, which decreased by 8.3 percent and amounted to 486.8 million manat ($286.2 million). Meanwhile, 78.8 percent accounted for deposits of individuals, which decreased by 8 percent in volume to 383.7 million manat ($225.7 million)," said the report.

Deposits of legal entities accounted for 21.2 percent of the deposit portfolio in the amount of 103.1 million manat ($60.6 million), and a decrease compared to the first quarter of 2019 amounted to 9.2 percent.

Liabilities to the CBA, state funds, credit organizations and other financial institutions increased by 10.4 percent for the year and amounted to 143.1 million manat ($84.1 million). Other liabilities amounted to 12.9 million manat ($7.5 million), decreasing by 34.1 percent.

"The bank’s share capital on an annualized basis did not change and amounted to 125.7 million manat ($73.9 million). The uncovered loss amounted to 34.6 million manat ($20.3 million), having decreased by 15.4 percent for the year. Capital reserves amounted to 4.6 million manat ($2.7 million), a decrease of 7.2 percent," said the report.

Total capital of the bank amounted to 96.2 million manat ($56.5 million), an increase of 6.6 percent.
